Handyman DIY was designed for homeowners who want to hone their home improvement skills while saving money on hiring a professional.  It will provide you with all the information you need to update your home, such as laying tiles, putting down rugs, and adding molding.  This app will guide you through every step of the project. Based on the room dimensions, Handyman DIY will let you know how much material you will need for the job as well as estimate the cost.

IScape will assist you with creating a beautiful landscape.  With this app, you simply take a picture of your lawn and then use the app's database to choose from a vast assortment of features, including trees, flowers, scrubs, walkways, pavers, fences and desks.  It's a bit pricey but will be worth it to get just the right look.

RoomScan may just make your tape measure obsolete.  This app allows you to measure the size of walls and doors by holding your phone against them.  It can be used for both rectangular and L-shaped rooms.
